Walnut Date Shake

Date shakes have grown in popularity recently, especially within the state of California, but the fruit has belonged to the Mediterranean Diet for centuries! Packed with fiber and antioxidants, dates add a subtly sweet caramel flavor to this recipe, complemented by the crunchy walnuts.
INGREDIENTS:
2 cups plain Greek yogurt
½ cup 2% milk
½ cup chopped walnuts
4 dates, pitted
2–3 ice cubes
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Combine the yogurt, milk, walnuts, dates, ice cubes, cinnamon, and vanilla extract in a blender and mix until smooth and creamy.
2. Pour the mixture into two serving cups or dishes and serve.
