Turkey Burgers
MAKES 4 SERVINGS
Savory and juicy turkey burgers are a light alternative to ground beef. Whether you cook them on the grill or in a pan, these burgers are delicious served with all the traditional burger toppings in a lettuce wrap, or if you wanted to make it Keto friendly, use a Keto friendly cheese-bread roll. They make a great swap for traditional burgers at family picnics!
INGREDIENTS
1 pound ground turkey
1 large egg
½ cup finely ground almond flour
¼ cup sweet onion, minced
¼ cup fresh basil, chopped
1 tablespoon garlic, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
¼ tbsp pink Himalayan salt
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Combine all the Ingredients in a bowl and gently mix to fully incorporate. Shape the meat mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
2. To cook on the stovetop, heat the olive oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the burgers and cook for 4 minutes on each side, or until the turkey reaches an internal temperature of 160°F. To grill, heat the grill to medium-high. Coat the grill grates and burgers with olive oil to prevent the meat from sticking to the grates. Grill for 6–7 minutes on each side.
3. Serve immediately or refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
