Low Fat Brownies
SERVINGS: 12 BROWNIES
These brownies are fudgy, rich, and satisfying—with no added sugar and minimal fat. Made with almond flour, applesauce, and cocoa powder, they offer a perfect chocolate fix that won’t spike your blood sugar.
Ingredients:
¾ cup almond flour
¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
2 large eggs
⅓ cup unsweetened applesauce
⅓ cup granulated monk fruit sweetener (or erythritol-based)
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp unsweetened almond milk
¼ cup sugar-free dark chocolate chips (optional, e.g., Lily’s)
Instructions
1. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8 inch pan with parchment or lightly grease.
2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, mix almond flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
3. Mix Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk eggs, applesauce, sweetener, vanilla, and almond milk until smooth.
4. Combine: Add dry ingredients to wet and stir until combined. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
5. Pour: Pour into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
6. Bake: Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean.
7. Cool: Cool before slicing into squares.
