Lebanese Dried Apricot Spread
Makes 6 servings
Kashta is a delectably rich and creamy Middle Eastern treat that is also referred to as Lebanese ricotta cheese. Loaded with healthy fats, kashta is commonly served cold with honey in addition to being an ingredient used in cooking. Here we are mixing it up with nuts and fruit as a tasty spread.
INGREDIENTS
12 dried apricots
1 avocado, sliced
1 cup kashta
2 tablespoons mixed nuts, crushed
3 tablespoons honey
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Arrange the dried apricots and avocado slices onto a serving platter or dessert dish and top with the kashta. Sprinkle with the mixed nuts and drizzle with honey.
2. Top your favorite bread, toast, crepes, or pita bread with this Lebanese Dried Apricot Spread, if desired. Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
