Labneh with Garlic & Mint

Labneh is a soft cheese made from yogurt that has been strained to remove the whey. Rich and tangy, the cheese has a thick, spreadable texture, perfect for pairing with warmed pita or toasted bread. You can even smear this on your sandwiches to add a bit of Middle Eastern flair.

 

INGREDIENTS

2 cups low-fat labneh
3 garlic cloves, crushed
1 tablespoon dried mint
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon fresh spearmint leaves

 

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Mix the labneh, garlic, and dried mint together in a serving bowl, then drizzle with the olive oil.
2. Garnish with fresh spearmint leaves and serve with pita bread or fresh vegetables, if desired.
