Halvah & Banana Sandwich

Halvah was invented around the seventh century in modern-day Iran. Later adopted by the Ottoman Empire, halvah has spread throughout the world and now comes in a range of textures. Paired with creamy bananas and earthy pistachios, halvah adds a sweet richness to this recipe. This is the perfect snack to start your eating period!
INGREDIENTS
1 (8-inch) whole wheat pita bread
2 tablespoons crushed halvah
1 medium banana, sliced
1 tablespoon crushed pistachios
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Spread the halva onto the pita bread and arrange the banana slices on top.
2. Sprinkle the pistachios on top of the banana slices and roll up the pita. Serve and enjoy!
