GARLIC SHRIMP

This is another one of those recipes that doesn’t take much time. Perfect for crammed days, Garlic Shrimp combines the savory flavors of butter and garlic, while adding a surprising zest with lemon juice, sriracha, and chili pepper flakes! If you’ve ever thought shrimp were boring, this dish will prove you wrong and keep you coming back for seconds.
INGREDIENTS
1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
3 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
¼ cup fumet
1 tablespoon sriracha
1 teaspoon crushed chili pepper flakes
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley or cilantro
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Season with salt and pepper, set aside. Place a large non-stick skillet with olive oil and one tbsp. of butter over medium heat. Add shrimp and sauté one minute. Add the minced garlic and paprika to the shrimp, stir to combine and cook shrimp for 1 minute. Then add 1/4 cup of fumet and Sriracha. Reduce the sauce for 1 minute, making sure not to overcook the shrimp.
2. Pour ½ tbsp. of the lemon juice over the top of the cooked shrimp. Remove shrimp from heat, garnish with parsley, lemon slices, and red crushed chili pepper. Serve garlic shrimp with cauliflower rice, or zucchini noodles.
